Site survey
Safety decking site surveys where needed. Send Graceland your drawings and project details first; most jobs can be assessed and quoted without a visit.

- 1996Original safety decking
- Class 3BS EN 12811-1:2003
- SSIPFASET & SMAS accredited
- 48 hrQuote turnaround
Start with the drawings. Survey only where it helps.
Most projects do not need a site survey before we quote. Send us the site details, drawings, approximate area and programme, and Paul, Ewan or a senior surveyor will assess the job on paper. If that gives us enough information, we move straight to a written quote.
Where the drawings leave unanswered questions — awkward voids, unusual geometry, unclear levels or limited access — we are happy to visit. A site survey is available when it adds value, not a compulsory step in every enquiry.

What happens on a survey
After the assessment, you get a written quote and a proposed delivery window. The RAMS pack follows for the confirmed installation, with the relevant user guide and loadings information available for your H&S team.
- Walk the site. We measure the bays, photograph any awkward voids, and identify stair openings, service risers and non-square geometry.
- Specify the system. Based on the loading, the span and the programme we'll recommend Trad Deck, G-Deck or a mix. This is not a sales conversation — if plastic is the right answer we'll say so.
- Size the crew. We tell you whether the install wants a two-person or three-person crew, and how long it will take.
- Confirm the delivery window. You get a date range that fits your programme, not ours.

What we need from you
If the drawings are not ready yet, send what you have. We will tell you whether we can quote from it or whether a visit would be useful.
- Drawings of the first-floor opening (or the bay we are decking). PDF is fine.
- If a visit is needed, a site induction slot or an existing CSCS-valid induction.
- A point of contact — either a site manager or the M&E lead running the opening programme.

Turnaround
Two numbers we hold ourselves to. Your quote lands within 48 hours of receiving the information we need — whether that comes from your drawings or a site visit. Once you accept it, we mobilise within 7 days, anywhere in the country.
When a survey is needed, visits across our core regions — Cambridgeshire, Bedfordshire, Hertfordshire, Northamptonshire, Buckinghamshire, East Anglia and the Midlands — can usually be arranged promptly. Nationwide visits are scheduled around our existing crew movements where practical.
