FASET and SMAS Worksafe are both registered member schemes of SSIP (Safety Schemes in Procurement). If your pre-qualification accepts SSIP, our certification covers the SSIP core health and safety criteria, and you can check it on the SSIP portal without sending us another questionnaire.

FASET: audited for platform decking

FASET is the industry body for fall arrest, safety netting and platform decking. In July 2026 we passed the FASET membership audit for Platform Decking Installation, under the CDM scope for contractors. The audit looks at how a company manages health and safety on the work it actually does, and for us that work is platform decking, every day.

We install to FASET's best practice guidance for platform decking. The core document is the Platform Decking Guidance Note (Rev 3), alongside FASET's notes on inspection requirements, misuse of decking systems and handover. They are free to download, and your site team is welcome to hold us to them.

SMAS Worksafe: SSIP approved

In September 2026 SMAS Worksafe audited our health and safety documentation against the SSIP core criteria and certified Graceland as a contractor, covering identity and health and safety.

That means the paperwork behind every install, from our health and safety policy to our risk assessments, method statements and training records, has been checked by an independent assessor. Our details also sit on the SMAS Worksafe client portal, where principal contractors and housebuilders look up approved contractors.

CSCS-carded crews

Every Graceland operative holds the CSCS card for their role. The crew that shows its cards at your site induction is the crew that lays your deck. We don't send substitutes.

The standards behind every install

These are the figures and regulations that go on your Handover Certificate and into your CDM file.

Any deck over 2m is inspected and recorded under the Work at Height Regulations 2005. We issue a jointly countersigned Handover Certificate on install, and again after any alteration, impact, severe weather or reported incident. A documented weekly inspection is signed and kept on your site file. The Trad Deck figures come from the TRAD Safety Deck user guide and loadings chart, both free to download.
