Graceland in Northamptonshire

Northamptonshire runs straight west of us along the A14 and A45 — Wellingborough and Rushden first, then Kettering and Corby on the eastern side, Northampton itself in the middle, and Daventry at the western edge where the M1 and the A5 meet. The A14 is the spine of the county for us, and almost any Northamptonshire site is a clean, direct run from the St Neots yard. It is one of the easiest core regions to mobilise into.

What we install across Northamptonshire

Northamptonshire is split between two distinct kinds of construction, and the system recommendation tracks the split. Housebuilding plots — Northampton and Wellingborough have some of the most active multi-plot programmes in the East Midlands — are mostly Trad Deck, the polypropylene panel system rated to Load Class 3 under BS EN 12811-1:2003 with a safe working load of 2.0 kN/m² UDL inclusive of operatives and Class B material fragility under ACR[M]001:2014. Trad Deck's pattern repetition is exactly what you want plot after plot.

The other half of the Northamptonshire mix is logistics and distribution construction along the A14 / A45 / A1 corridor. On suitable warehouse floor areas, G-Deck Lite can deliver fast steel installation, or both systems can be used on the same site. Either way, the deck is a fall-prevention platform, not a crash deck.

Who we work with in Northamptonshire

Commercial principal contractors running logistics, distribution and light-industrial steel-framed buildings across the A14 corridor — this is the regional construction signature, and it is the work that most often involves a per-bay system recommendation on survey. National and regional housebuilders running multi-plot programmes around Northampton, Wellingborough and Kettering. The same Graceland crew installs for both, and in Northamptonshire it is not unusual for the same crew to install two different systems on the same week.

How a Northamptonshire installation works

How a Northamptonshire installation works — Graceland on site
  1. 01

    Enquire

Send the drawings, area and programme. We assess Trad Deck, G-Deck Lite or both from the information provided and visit only if the project needs an on-site check.

  2. 02

    Plan and RAMS

A method statement, risk assessment and CDM 2015-mapped RAMS pack lands with your principal designer for sign-off before anything goes on site.

  3. 03

    Install

A two- or three-person crew installs the deck in one planned visit and walks the completed platform with your site agent. A jointly countersigned Handover Certificate puts it formally into service.

  4. 04

    Dismantle

A single planned visit once the trades above are finished. Every component visually inspected on the way out, defects quarantined, the area handed back clean.
